The Gazette presents
We at FIFEM have been dreaming for the past couple of years of offering Montreal’s English-speaking families the opportunity to enjoy great films in their original English versions. This year, The Montreal Gazette has decided to join us, and thanks to their precious partnership our dream has finally come true! Four of the films presented at this year’s FIFEM will be screened in English only, three features and one short film.
This special presentation is a trial for this year. We are counting on your enthusiastic response to make it a regular section of the Festival for our future editions, so tell all your friends to join us and enjoy these great films!
FINN ON THE FLY
Original Title: Finn on the Fly
Director: Mark Jean
Canada 2008, fiction, 95 minutes, original English version
Finn on the Fly is a story about friendship, loyalty and learning to trust your instincts. Finn, a cool, life-lovin', Frisbee-playing dog, and his owner, shy 13-year-old Ben, suddenly find their lives changed when Finn is accidentally transformed into a human being when Dr. Madeline Madsen’s experiment goes wrong. Once on two legs, Finn teaches Ben to feel the wind in his fur, catch Frisbees like a dog and, ultimately, to find his own pack.
READY? OK!
Director: James Vasquez
USA 2008, fiction, 93 minutes, original English version

With the recent death of her absent father, her wayward brother returns home, compelling them all to face themselves and what it truly means to be a "family".
Every character in this film has a passion that spins their story into a modern tale.
The program will begin with the short film
